Yair Bitton is a business development specialist, serving as a Deputy CEO & VP Investments in IES Holdings (TASE: IES) and as a board member in Mivtach Shamir (TASE: MISH), leading companies in the Israeli market, involving in complex, large-scale projects in a wide range of industries.
Prior to his current role, Bitton served as Chief of Staff to the Director-General in the Israeli Ministry of Finance. During his time in office, Bitton was responsible for managing and leading extensive economic projects and government reforms, which were the most significant actions within the core financial strategy of the 34th Israeli government. In addition, Bitton was engaged in shaping the regulation for various industries, such as telecommunications, energy, real estate, and technology.
In his past, Bitton served as a Fighter Helicopters Pilot and Officer in the Israeli Air Force. Bitton functioned as an operational pilot and captain of the “COBRA” helicopters. During his position in the Air-Force, Bitton received a certificate of excellence for extraordinary performance as an officer.
Mr. Bitton holds an MBA from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, and a master’s degree in Diplomacy and Security from Tel-Aviv University, where he graduated with distinction.
He received his bachelor’s degree in Government and Politics, Management, and Technology (Specialized in Aeronautics) from Ben-Gurion University.
In 2017, Mr. Bitton was chosen by Forbes Magazine to be included in the “30 Under 30” exclusive list of Israel’s most promising young adults. Mr. Bitton is also serving as a Member of the Board of Directors for the “Israeli Leadership Forum”.
